1. Mainland individuals generally need to carry these materials when opening an account in a bank in Hong Kong:
(1) Mainland resident ID card
(2) Hong Kong and Macao pass or passport (for identity ***uments)
(3) A small amount of cash is deposited
(4) A statement with the address and name of the account holder. (this is for proof of address)
Note: the address supporting ***uments shall include the name and address of the account holder, such as water bill and electricity bill, both in the mainland and Hong Kong, but pay attention to those within 3 months or 2 months.
2. The following ***uments are generally required for a registered co***ny to open an account with a bank in Hong Kong:
(1) Original minutes of meeting approving account opening
(2) Certificate of incorporation
(3) Business registration certificate
(4) Notice of appointment of directors and Secretary
(5) Articles of Association
(6) Copy of ID card / Passport of each director
(7) Proof of personal address of each director
Note: different banks have different requirements for the information required for account opening
